Anna Erhard

Change is inevitable, change is inevitable, change is pre-programmed.

The 29-year-old Anna Erhard, who lives in Berlin, writes songs about these states of movement: they are about leaving, about escape and transformation. At first she found it difficult to let go. After years as the head of the Basel band Serafyn, she left the band and the city behind and thus gave in to the desire to change her place of residence and initiate the musical comfort zone.

For a long time she had repressed this feeling. Too typical for her fast-moving generation, flooded with possibilities and stimuli, this step seemed to her at first.
This new start, however, provided her with space and time for musical expeditions and offered an unknown freedom.

Thus, in two and a half years, between band and line-up changes, songs were created that carry Anna Erhard's own language and tell of this turbulent time. She often draws on texts and motifs from her diary-like notes and then grinds them into pieces together with the Berlin producer Pola Roy.

To stand up on a stage alone with an acoustic guitar requires bravery bordering on heroism.
