Illute

ILLUTE is a singer-/songwriter from Berlin. Since 2009 she works with the producer Alexander Nefzger (André Heller, Clara Luzia), creating minimalistically orchestrated acoustic songs as well as widely arranged radio hits: “Viva La Ignorancia” made it to the Heavyrotation on FM4.

Her mainly German-speaking songs are either interpreted solo or with her musician friends (e.g. the Viennese band “Fresco”). Piano, ukulele, guitar, carillon, percussion, kalimba, violin, accordion and ILLUTE’s deep voice are used to make her music so unique. She sings about wishes, let go and relationships using simple yet ambiguous words.

ILLUTE’s songs are tiny ILLUstrations that leave their colourful marks in everyone’s ears.

When you break out the acoustic guitar, the words are the focal point unless you're the Jimi Hendrix of the acoustic guitar. So the words have to have meaning.
