Born in Kyiv, Mascha came to Munich at the age of four as a Jewish contingent refugee and was raised bilingually in Russian and German. She quickly developed a fascination for language and music and began to express through her own songs what she could not put into words in any of her languages.
Somewhere between her Ukrainian roots, a fairy tale told to her as a child to fall asleep to and formative memories, Masha The Rich Man is shaping her very own musical cosmos. Atmospheric music that conveys the feeling of being allowed to allow emotions and to let oneself fall into a nostalgic world-weariness.
But every tribulation, no matter how great, contains something healing that makes you stronger. The soon-to-be-released music of Masha The Rich Man is a warm embrace to oneself, through which one can dream oneself into a healer world.
