Paul Gerlinger
Paul Gerlinger's voice is brittle and deep, there's no escaping it. The 25-year-old songwriter from Mannheim sings in "Kein Tag" the sentence "A glass of wine and cigarettes can save every evening", and quite obviously some evenings have already been saved that way. But that's his voice - no matter who you want to compare it to - and much more interesting anyway is the path and the circumstances that brought Gerlinger to music in the first place.
In 2021, Paul Gerlinger releases his debut EP "Gut Allein." A deliberately analog production, in which his impressive voice finds a cozy bed in the beautiful arrangements of guitar, cello, double bass, piano, violin and trombone. Such elaborate, warm productions have become rare in today's electronically influenced world and are a real rarity, especially in the newcomer sector.
